Subject: August Meeting

This is our informal month and a chance to spend some time socialising and chatting – which we all love!  (Your membership entitles you to 11 formal Members’ Meetings a year.)

You can either do this while on a  walking Trail around Beeston or staying in the Hall and chatting whilst playing board games/doing puzzles over a cuppa.

There will be a shorter walk which will take about 35 minutes or you can continue on a longer walk which will take about an hour.  You will be provided with clues to guide you and spot significant items.  It is suggested that you bring a pen and something like a clipboard/A4 folder/cardboard that you can lean on to write your answers.  The weather is looking good for the week so please wear appropriate clothing and bring a drink to take with you.

We hope that those who do not want to go on the walk will still enjoy coming to the Hall to spend time socialising.  Tea and coffee will be available for you on a help yourself basis, at a cost of 50p per item – refreshments monies will be going to Hope this year.

Ice-creams will be provided to all members later in the evening!

You are invited to come to the Hall from 6:40pm onwards and walkers will leave from there at intervals in groups of 2 or 3 (a great chance to spend time with someone different!) with the last walkers leaving by 7:45pm.

Good morning everyone,

we hope you are looking forward to the Treasure hunt and ice cream this week. We wanted to share key dates and events you may be interested in. As we don’t always have time to read the fliers at the meetings I have attached the Hornblower which includes a list of forthcoming events and some other key information about the United Nations 16 days of Activism. If you have any spare orange yarn you could share with members please bring this along to the member meetings, thank you.

Subject: Hope House food donation – volunteer required

as we agreed to support Hope House food bank as our charity this year we are planning another collection at the September meeting. However, we are in need of a volunteer to take the donations to Hope House after the meeting. Please could you get in touch if you are able to help with this,
